Learn geography by locating places
Earthgame turns country and capital practice into short rounds on a 3D globe. Choose a world region, select a round size, then fly to each target before the timer runs out.
The game is useful for map practice, classroom warmups, travel curiosity and anyone who wants to connect country names with real positions on the globe.
Good geography practice is active: try to predict the location before clicking, check the surrounding countries after a miss, and repeat the same region later. The score is feedback, but the main goal is building a mental map that lasts after the round ends.
Privacy and high scores
The player name field is optional. If you submit a score with a name, that name and score can appear in the public top 10 list. Use a nickname if you do not want a real name shown.
Game settings and fallback scores may be stored in your browser. The high-score API stores only the submitted name and score needed for the leaderboard.
You can also play without submitting a name. Short anonymous practice rounds still work for learning countries, capitals and regions.
OpenSled tools
Earthgame is part of OpenSled, alongside the unit converter. These tools are designed for quick browser use without account creation.
For geography study, read the Earthgame guides on countries and capitals, world regions and practice tips.
The guides explain how to split the world into manageable regions, how to use capitals as memory anchors, and how to combine map reading with timed recall.
